Not user friendly and very limiting on options and areas

This app gives more life than you could think off when it comes to apartment

This app is just to take your private info and sell it to marketing companies. Thats why so much info is required just to get past the opening of the app. NOPE.

Idk if the apartments themselves that have to update the information, but the information is never updated like there were a fee times where I would contact the apartments and even schedule a tour with confirmation from a text about it and when I show up for the tour, they won’t have any idea what I’m talking about or the prices are all wrong, or that apartment hasn’t been available for a minute. Also, there’s a bug where you put the distance to you like the commute and everything and if it’s above 60+ minutes, they’ll still market as within your limits. I’m sure this is a bug and not intended, but it definitely needs to be fixed. I don’t know if there’s already something showing how old or how long it’s been since like apartment info have been last updated, but be nice if there was like a way to encourage places to update their info or something that will tell me whether or not the info has been updated last.

I’ve reached out to 3 apt complexes and they informed me is different than is what on this site. You should put up a disclaimer.

Any place to rent in my price range is what I’m looking for. Thank you.

I wanted things out of downtown SLC. It’s a dirty city. All I got were out of my price range. Downtown ugly young people apartments. Very few out of the downtown area!

This theee best app for apartments hands down.

It sends me listings way out of my budget that are too small and too far away. Useless app

This app doesn’t work, last night it was working after downloading it, it kept showing me apartments way over budget from what I put in. Now today nothing will load, I can login but that’s it.

Doesn’t matter how much I set my preferences, this app will never find me an apartment listing that matches what I’m looking for - which is surprising considering I know there are various rentals around me meeting my criteria. Awful app, needs adjusting. Especially with location/neighborhood adjusting

constantly shows me places outside of my price range and ignores my filters

I used this app a year ago and then since they don’t have a way to reset the account, asked it to delete my account so I could start from scratch when it was time to move. I just went to sign back up - guess what wasn’t deleted? So just know they DON’T DELETE ACCOUNTS. And now I’m looking for a completely different apartment style and am stuck with a convoluted mess because there’s no total reset option and it’s pulling up stuff from a year ago.

I thought it would be a good app to use. After I entered my preferences and budget, it had given me little to no results. And most of the time, I’ve been getting a lot of false notifications and matches that are way above what I’m looking for in terms of budget, location and preferences. I won’t be using this app anymore and would not recommend it to anyone. I’d suggest using better apartment finding apps from the App Store.

The features available on the app make it easy to compare what’s available and filter to find the best matches. I love the options to save listings as a love and a maybe list. Contacting the properties is also easy with good response times. I always come back to Apartment List whenever I am looking into moving and share it with friends who are moving also.

One of my dealbreakers is how big the apartment is, not helpful at all to not be able to sort by that!

I literally downloaded this app because it said they had renters who will forego eviction records. I have talked to countless properties now and they all tell me the same thing I hear from everyone else. I’m just trying to rebuild my life not waste time with this apps lies.

I never write reviews, but the amount of emails and notifications I received AFTER opting out of notifications is absolutely insane and borderline harassment. Even after unsubscribing, the app shows a message saying I’ll still receive promotional/marketing emails … which defeats the purpose of unsubscribing. I received around 5 emails a day, that’s INSANE. After a few days I had to delete the app. UI & functionality is fine, but the notifications are a hard pass for me. I’ll go back to Apartments.com !

I’m currently just browsing the app because I want to get a good idea of what I’m looking for. But it gets a little confusing when all of the pictures are bundled together. Then I have to figure out what apartment it goes to. It would be nice but to make sure the pictures and listing to go together. I do want to get an accurate pricing with and without the specials, because I don’t know what the specials do or require maybe. It would also be nice if we can put more than one location to be close to just so it’s more convenient to costumers. Thank you I don’t mean for all the suggestions to be mean it’s just my thoughts. So far a great app!!

It’s kinda nice having one place where I can look at all the apartments without being there. I really like virtual visits that I’m able to take a first apartment and that’s pretty cool.

Instead of notifying me on a match based on my filters it is sending me notifications daily on apartments over an hour away over half of which are in the next state the vast majority of which meet none of my filtered conditions when i go into the app to actually browse and look there is nothing listed on the map making this app essentially pointless

I’m about to delete this app

I can’t sign in after signing up. I created an account but once I put my email in and receive my code it keeps saying incorrect code and won’t work. How can i look for apartments if i can’t get in? I need this issue resolved!!

I used this to try and look at apartments and it would consistently give me options hundreds of dollars outside my budget. You’re better off just using Zillow or apartments.com.

They updated the app which broke it, can’t login can’t create and new account. Would give 0 stars if I could.

I cannot get out of the screen that reads “Change profile” with a hat and magic wand

Not sure how this app gets rated as high as it does. It continually shows apartments that don’t fit my needs despite me declining options that don’t work for me. This app needs severe algorithm improvement. It’s useless when you can use any of the other myriads of rental apps out there and find exactly what you’re looking for.

I was not allowed to see my unit until move in day. The baseboards were not painted all the way. Dirty behind refrigerator, washer,dryer. No one came to clean those areas. Under cabinets in kitchen were sticky underneath. Blinds were and still are mismatched and some dirty. Generally unhappy but I’m 80 years old and can’t move again. I agree with the lawsuits. That have been filed against Greystar because I have those same issues here. Not real happy.

This is a great concept, really poor execution. I think this place has an affiliation with certain apartment complexes, because no matter what I set, it will always show me the same ones. Always higher than the budget i set, always outside the location i set, never finding things inside all my filters (then i do a simple search on google and find something that’s exactly what i’m looking for). Feels fishy.

This app used to be amazing with features that were wildly helpful. The best feature was the map feature where you could search on the map of apartments available in that area. It was my favorite way to search because writing out the locations doesn’t always show all the options. Now the entire app is restricted and I can’t find anything anymore. Went from a five star app to a useless one

I’m looking for a place to rent that isn’t in a huge apartment complex. This app will only show you large apartment complexes run by crooked management companies.

The app is being difficult to navigate different locations

I love the usability of this app, it makes looking for an apartment so easy and engaging. However, there are a couple of things that I would change. I don’t want the app to automatically send emails to the apartments that I’ve shown interest in. I would prefer that this be an option that I can toggle on/off. I’d rather reach out to the apartments in my own time, when I’m ready to get more information. My inbox is being flooded with response emails from building managers wanting to set up tours. Another thing would be a search option. I’d like to be able to search for buildings that I know I’m interested in, just in case they don’t show in the lineup of options and to help my algorithm narrow down what I’m interested in. Lastly, I would love if the apartment descriptions would give their website link. It typically has their phone number, but no links to their direct website. All-in-all, it’s a really helpful tool to use when apartment hunting can be very daunting.

apartment List is amazing it perfectly fits what everyone is going through a bunch of apartments that no one can afford that are making everyone’s lives miserable because there’s a couple of people at the top that have tons of money and everybody else is just drowning so long American dream so long America I’m happy to say I won’t be around to see the rest of it

DON NOT USE I GOT SCAMMED 3,600 dollars , everything was going well and he was communicating to me as well IF H GET A MESSAGE FROM AREIL GREENBURG ITS FAKE HE SENT ME SO MUCH PROOF AND IT WAS NOT REAL HE MADE EVERYTHING SOUND GOOD TILL THE DAY OF ME RECEIVING MY KEY !!!!!!! THE ADDRESS OF THE LISTING WAS 2124 30th AV APT2c QUEENS THIS NEED TI BE TAKEN DOWN AND .

I like how handy this app is but really wish that you could select only dog/cat friendly apartments. And then big dog friendly. Since I have a big dog and it’s a little frustrating to look for apartments and then call and they only take little dogs. Another feature I would like to see is the ability to select more amenities like gas stove. I also would like to be able to weed out senior apartments since I’m not even close to being accepted into one.

It’s good to see what’s available and get the sense of the market. However, it lacks basic intuitive features that would allow you to better customize your search and navigate the app. It’s quite restrictive in how you can navigate through it. There should be functionality to search the map for all available properties in an area, not just based on what it determines is for you. Also, you should be able to change a maybe to a love or vice versa more easily. Tied to that, going through your “no” list is a nightmare. You have to respect each one to get through the list. It should be a simple list feature and sort throughout the app for everything. Also, you should be able to go back through or see recent suggestions (which is ultimately tied to the other suggestions on sorting and filtering). I wanted to move an apartment from my maybes to loves and wanted to see if I removed it what would happen. Haven’t been able to find the property again..where did it go? I said no to a property that after thinking about it changed to a possible maybe, but to have to go through over 100 properties again just to change one is ridiculous. I get they’re trying to make it easy by limiting choice, but that actually makes it difficult to navigate.

Overall an alright app that lists decent listings with the features you’re looking for. Algorithm consistently recommends units or listings that are nowhere near your desired checklist. Found that this app also allows for many scam listings from the same people using sketchy payments and fake listings, so beware for that. Wish there were a feature to report or flag these listings and an improved suggestion list and this app would be more than just a visually appealing app.

this has to be the worst apartment search app/website out there. it never shows things in your price range even when there's plenty of listings that you can see on other apps. it's just stupid and frustrating to use. every time i give it another chance it's just as awful as before don't waste your time, just stick to another app.
